EXP 3: WEEK 5

Final Fly-through of the Bridge
The beauty of this bridge is the simple unobstructed connection to the surrounding environment through the repetitive use of simple curve geometry and symmetry that gives a sense of movement and rhythm, thus, integrating in the hilly environment. The use of wooden and translucent materials also helps enhancing the connection between the bridge and the environment.

Five Lumion Images Of My Monuments:

The image above shows the integration of landscape and monuments.

The image above highlights the unadorned, vertical volume of the curvilinear monument, which implies aspiration and yearning, as if defying gravity. The idea of defying gravity is enhanced by its texture: the distorted fishing net-like texture suggests a downward pulling force of gravity, while the use of thin lines minimizes weight. This gives an illusion that the vertical forces are neutralized and thus, defying gravity.

The image above shows the relationship between the two monuments through the small, rectangular, textured volume of the rectilinear monument pointing at the vertical volume of the curvilinear monument; and the shadow of the vertical volume casting on the rectangular volume. This image also highlights the simple, architectonic form of the rectilinear monument.

The image above highlights the wave-like texture on both of the monuments, which gives a sense of movement and suggests the ‘electroliquid aggregation’ of the two monuments.

The image above gives an illusion that the sun and the monuments are positioned relative to each other.
